Designed as a comfortable “third place” between home and work, we offer a warm, eclectic space where locals gather to read, relax, and engage with one another. With a focus on craftsmanship, hospitality, and cultural enrichment, we proudly serve as a gathering place for both residents and visitors.
A Third Place Coffee & Books is dedicated to delivering exceptional service, featuring locally sourced offerings, and offering inclusive programming. Our team curates each experience—from menu to merchandise—with purpose and attention to detail. We maintain a safe and welcoming space for guests of all backgrounds, proudly highlighting local creators, musicians, and authors.
Rooted in creativity and connection, A Third Place Coffee & Books is more than a coffee shop—it’s a trusted, vibrant space where Medina comes together, thoughtfully curated. Community-driven. Always warm and welcoming.
When owner and founder Tisha Ewing spotted a gap in Medina’s community spaces, she envisioned a place “where people feel like they belong.” From the start, A Third Place has been built on warmth, featuring thrifted furnishings, velvet couches, and a welcoming atmosphere that seamlessly blends comfort with creativity.
Through monthly Tiny Tales author readings and lively Coffee & Crescendos music nights, Tisha strives to spotlight local talent and foster unexpected connections. The shop feels like a living room for the community, where students, artists, families, and neighbors converge to chat and craft shared moments over coffee.
We care because Medina deserves more than a café—it deserves a proper “third place.” That’s why every latte, book display, and event is thoughtfully arranged to nurture connection, belonging, and joy for every customer who walks through our door.
